This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of project management within the context of information technology (IT). Students will explore how to plan, execute, monitor, and successfully deliver IT projects in dynamic and often complex environments.

The course focuses on key project management methodologies, including traditional (Waterfall) and Agile approaches, and examines how these frameworks are applied to software development, systems implementation, and digital transformation initiatives. Students will gain practical skills in defining project scope, developing schedules, managing budgets, assessing risks, and leading cross-functional teams.

Emphasis is placed on real-world application, using case studies and scenario-based exercises that reflect current industry challenges. Students will also develop competencies in using project management tools, stakeholder communication, and performance evaluation.

By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to contribute effectively to IT projects or pursue further specialization in project management.

The Certificate in College Teaching (CCUT) program is a blended learning course designed to provide college teachers with an opportunity to develop their teaching skills through innovative pedagogical and reflective practice. Participants must attend six sessions and complete weekly online asynchronous activities with a moderate weekly workload.

Participants will analyze and reflect on the teaching tasks by discussing various college-level teaching and learning topics, current pedagogical principles, assessment and evaluation techniques, and effective grading and feedback methods.  The program will include mentorship from a faculty member with several class visits for teaching observation and feedback on participants’ ability to conduct successful class sessions with various engaging learning activities.
